New Close Farm Shop

The Farm Shop supplies local people with a variety of fresh, local, organic and importantly tasty, produce. We strongly believe that fantastic, wholesome, food shouldn't be considered a luxury, but instead available to everyone and we want our customers to consider us their routine destination for their food shopping. We are a real farm shop selling real food for every day of the year and not just for special occasions and our stock, prices and focus on repeat custom reflects this.

As such, New Close Farm Shop has a great range of local, organic and traditional produce and goods. We produce our own fruit and vegetables as well as sourcing from local and organic sources. If your aim is to eat locally produced and seasonal food, we will always be able to tell you the providence of everything we sell; if you want to eat organic food because you are convinced of the health and environmental benefits, our range of organic fruit and veg is always fantastic too.

We also produce, or locally source, traditional breeds of beef, pork and lamb as well as free-range poultry and it's all processed in our own butchery. We make our own sausages, burgers, bacon, etc. using traditional methods and have planted a herb garden to grow ingredients to put in them! The Rare Breeds Survival Trust is a great resource if you are interested in our native breeds and why they are important.

The shop stocks other organic products such as: cereals, juices, flour, rice and pasta, cooking sauces and more; we also stock Ecover cleaning products as well as refills for laundry liquid, washing-up liquid and fabric softener. We also sell locally produced and organic bread (and cakes!) and make jams and preserves using only fresh ingredients that we sell in the shop.
